ClickToPay ("ClickToPay", "we", "us", or "our") is a leading payments and financial technology company that facilitates credit card transactions for education fee payments. We are committed to providing our users with a seamless and secure payment experience. This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which cancellations and refunds may be requested for transactions made via our Education Payment Services.

1. Scope

This policy applies exclusively to transactions initiated through ClickToPay's Education Payment Services, including payments for tuition fees, examination fees, admission fees, hostel fees, and other approved educational expenses.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1. Eligibility for Cancellation

  • Cancellations may only be requested if the transaction fails. A transaction failure may occur due to various reasons, such as payment gateway issues, technical errors, insufficient funds, incorrect beneficiary details, or other unforeseen circumstances during the payment process.
  • Once a transaction is successfully completed and the payment has been processed and settled to the educational beneficiary's account, cancellations will not be accepted under any circumstances.

2.2. Requesting a Cancellation

  • Cancellations must be initiated only by calling our customer service team at the number provided below. Our customer service team is available to assist you with the cancellation process.
  • Requests made via email, social media, or other means will not be considered valid for cancellation purposes. Only phone calls to our customer service team will be processed.

2.3. Payment Gateway Charges

  • In the event of a cancellation due to transaction failure, payment gateway charges and applicable taxes will not be refunded. These charges are retained by the payment gateway provider and are non-refundable.

2.4. No Cancellations for Successful Transactions

No cancellations are available for successful education payment transactions. Once a payment has been processed successfully, you must contact the educational institution directly for any refund or adjustment.

3. Refund Policy

3.1. Eligibility for Refund

  • Refunds will only be initiated by ClickToPay if the transaction is deemed to have failed. This includes, but is not limited to, technical errors, payment gateway issues, or suspicion of fraud that prevent the transaction from being completed successfully.
  • The refund will be processed to the same payment method (credit card) used for the original transaction.

3.2. Exclusion of Payment Gateway Charges

Refunds will exclude any payment gateway charges and taxes. These charges, which are imposed by the payment gateway provider, are non-refundable and will not be returned to the user.

3.3. Processing of Refunds

  • Refunds will be initiated by ClickToPay only after the cancellation request has been confirmed via phone.
  • The process may take several business days, depending on the credit card issuer and the payment gateway's processing times. Typically, refunds are reflected within 7–14 business days.
  • The refunded amount will reflect only the original transaction amount minus the non-refundable payment gateway charges and taxes.

3.4. No Refunds for Successful Transactions

Once a transaction is successfully completed and the funds have been credited to the educational beneficiary's bank account, no refund will be processed by ClickToPay. Any claim for refund must be settled directly between you and the educational institution.

4. Special Considerations for Education Payments

  • Duplicate Payments: If you accidentally make a duplicate payment for the same fee, you must contact the educational institution directly to request a refund. ClickToPay will not reverse a successfully settled duplicate payment.
  • Incorrect Amount: If you pay an incorrect amount (e.g., overpayment), the same rule applies. In such cases, you must seek a refund from the educational institution directly.
  • Wrong Beneficiary: If you enter incorrect beneficiary details (e.g., wrong institution account number), ClickToPay will attempt to assist in recovering the funds, but cannot guarantee success. Cancellation is only possible if the transaction has not yet settled.

5. How to Request Cancellation or Refund

5.2. Refund Processing

Refunds will be automatically processed in cases of confirmed transaction failure once a valid cancellation request has been received over the phone. No additional action is needed from you beyond notifying our customer service team.

6. Force Majeure

In the event of force majeure, such as natural disasters, network failures, banking system outages, or other unforeseen circumstances that prevent ClickToPay from processing cancellations or refunds, we will not be held responsible for delays or failures in service.

7. Amendments to the Policy

ClickToPay reserves the right to amend or update this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. All changes will be communicated to users via the website, in-app notification, or other appropriate channels. The updated policy will be effective immediately upon publication. Continued use of the Education Payment Services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
